What do you have on your desk?
Comments (7)Right. Clutter. Receipts I should probably throw out. Spare mouse. Wallet. Seeds to plant one day. If this is a representation of my mind, it's not looking good....See MoreHome office/spare room
Comments (13)One suggestion I'd make - shelves above a bed are very hard to reach, without standing on the bed. There are many beds though that fold up into a wall cabinet, so take up the thickness of a mattress/frame when folded up. It also makes for a tidier office when it's not a guest room. You may have to hunt for a fold-out that hinges on the long side - most are hinged on the short side (i.e. hinge under the pillow). If you can't find the right unit you might be able to swap with the shelves behind the door, or on the opposite far wall. You'd then have to rejig the other shelves you want above the bed, or move the bed unit the depth of the shelves out from the wall, or rotate it 90 degrees to parallel the wall to the credenza. I'm trying to work out exactly the same problem in my study as we speak :-) albeit with a different floorplan. Good luck!...See MorePOLL: What is most important for your home office productivity?

Comments (43)@Kath i used osmo natural hardwax oil, i'll prob sand this back at some point as it was too white for my liking but ill need to do that if i ever end up back in the actual office as it takes a few days to dry. I'll look into that oil. @Litsa Adamou great job on the desk i like how you made it shorter and turned it right angle, if i had the tools i wanted to do that and then put the chest of draws under it. Here is current state, excuse the mess i was half way through setting this up before i had to rush setting everything up half finished so i could work from home 8-10 hours a day. IT stull will be relocated to a central location once i tear it all down. I'm waiting on 2 monitors + office chair i went the ikea Alefjall. https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/alefjaell-office-chair-grann-golden-brown-20419983/ I'll actually post my own thread as my bits an pieces are due soon and i need to work out layout....See MoreUser
