Hi Debbie, Just adding to your dilemma, until recently we had lovely offices in Sydney with each room having one wall of full height sliding doors, with wonderful day time views and night time lights. We installed very nice manual Roller blinds for when privacy was needed, but I still wasn't happy with the look either day or night. I love the lovely soft curtains that Mel n suggested but hubby wouldn't be happy as there would n't be any privacy at night unless they had a separate lining. So saying that I still think internal "Plantation" shutters that bi fold across the openings would really add something to your open plan room, I was also thinking sliding stacking panels, you could ask a local supplier to come out and discuss. These shutters are larger and easier to clean. I'am adding some more photos for you. On another note, I hope Debbie doesn't mind my mentioning this but Debbie suffered damage to her home at the hands of her name sake "Cyclone Debbie", when a very large neighbours tree fell down on her property causing a lot of damage, very hard to see your hard work ripped apart. Cut some of the really leggy branches off (approx 300mm from the next branch), dry them out for a couple of days then pot them in some free draining soil. Triple your plants for the price of one. Where you cut them off will then sprout, maybe even two or three epicormic buds will sprout to fill the plant out beautifully. Re-pot the existing plant as soon as possible, refreshing the potting mix completely, because it is just about to go into its growing phase as it warms up.

Thanks also Oskuee the orange jasmine is beautiful and we have this running along our fence line in our back yard ! We have more of a tropical feel ( as much as we can given the climate ) I have this hedge along a fence that is over looked through my splash back glass window so I can see the gorgeous white flowers . I think for the front yard it wouldn’t be tall enough ? Although I’d need to check that as I’m no expert

In Hobart you could plant the glorious virginia creeper to cover the shed and have beautiful green leaves through spring and summer, then a blaze of autumn colour, followed by the bare stems in winter, which you could highlight by painting the wall in a contrasting shade to maximise the impact of the changing seasons,; so Japanese! But if you want the lower maintenance of the rubber plant creeper walls they look good to. Both plants are self supporting creepers, but both will require a little maintenance. Love some of the shots in the above posts of example Japanese gardens! I immediately thought of the white pebbles and sleepers too, but those moss and rock islands bring back memories of Kyoto, which takes it to another level!
