Im not sure how much brick is seen around the window frame, if its only a little brick, you could paint it, although I'd prefer it be a smooth rendered finishor plaster like your other finished walls, because if there are three surfaces visible in there, none will be a feature, and all will look incohessive. To let the ply wall take the focus the plaster is perfect in contrast, so if absolutely necessary, pair. He brick white, although my recommendation is to gy rock and paint, just with he back wall in marine ply. Good luck, I'd love to see your finished result. By the wY, mentioned split battens to hang the ply, if you're unfamiliar, it's where timber battens are cut in half on the diagonal through section, and one half is fixed to the wall, the other the ply sheet, when they go together they become a secure locking fixing. Any handy person or tradesman will know how to do hat, without glueing or messing up the brick wall. It's quick, cheap and secure, and best of all can be removed without much effort to allow you flexibility in time.

Hi Eric, Internally, wall finishes are usually a two part system. The first part is called the float, and is a single coat of cement render with a smooth - ish finish. It is then usually covered with a white plaster called the set. When talking to plasterers, it is called float and set and is usually around $18m2 + GST depending on job size. If it is only a wall then you will be probably paying a day rate or hourly rate and it will work out higher as they can't get a good amount of materials up vs the setup etc... If you only want the cement render finish, it is called a sand finish. I still do a two coat method as it gives a better and stronger finish. External sand finish is around $22m2 + GST on a single storey... again, job size is relevant. Other items such as metal corner beads ( I do all the time) and corbels or mouldings are usually a linear metre rate. Hope that helps... Cheers

Hi, gloria wood I find that Dulux Natural White can look too stark. Pictured, we have used: White exchange half (which has more of a grey/beige undertone) Lexicon half (for the skirting, doors and trims).

Your renovations are well underway, so after seeing the small floor plan and that the vanity is on an internal wall and you apparently still want the Shaving Cabinet. Having cavity brick walls I would get your brickie to remove a section of the brick wall so that the shaving cabinet can be recessed back into the cavity, this will overcome any concerns you have about bumping your head, this opening can then be patched along with other walls. I would take all of your photos and measurements to someone like Reece to pick a hand basin to fit,, I would also keep in mind that if say the width of the vanity is around 900 the shaving cabinet would match that width and you would end up with say 2 x 450 mirrored doors, which puts the mirror join in the middle and in your face when using the vanity. cheers
