Ok, don't like the dark cushion, don't like the TV in the bedroom. You could go for pendant lighting using the same 'material' as the mirror? If you went for larger beside lamps while you have that mirror there, they would be fighting each other. In the programs I watch, they say to have 'a hero in the room'. In this case the mirror is the hero I think. Also the extra throw cushion for the bed could match one on the chair, so it ties in (or don't have one at all on the bed). If you did need a TV what about having one installed on the wall to the right of the chair,(looking at the photo) and make sure it can swivel out, so when you aren't watching TV in bed it can be against the wall, out of the way. Then you can have a lovely (glass) ornament or two, or a bunch of flowers sitting on it along with your photos. I love how you have your bed dressed, spot on! (without the dark cushion) I absolutely adore the blue shades in the duvet cover and I would draw those out into the room. Love that you have opened up your windows in the lounge. Maybe a throw rug and some colourful (same colours as in the duvet cover on your bed) cushions on the lounge suite as nothing is really popping! There doesn't seem to be any colour except for the flowers and the photos. Colourful paintings on the wall would be lovely too. Maybe the potted plants could be in coloured (as in your duvet cover) pots instead of white. I know you weren't asking about the lounge and if you are happy with it, then that is all that matters. I don't think your current kitchen plan is going to work. Your current kitchen plan may end up a bit tight... how much space between the open dishwasher or oven and the opposite cupboards? I estimate that to be 40-50cm... I think you may end up with a one person kitchen. No need for a big pantry. 2c.... keep the toilet where it is. keep the study where it is. Draw a horizontal line across from your existing toilet wall and chop a big chunk off the living space (or what was the formal dining). The new space is your butlers pantry. Slide the entry door to the right by 60-90cm. Your new butlers pantry is 3.2x2.2m. Put your sink against the toilet wall - and the dishwasher. You have easy access for plumbing with the WC utilities. Then you just need a small sink in the kitchen next to the stove for filtered water and washing your vegies etc. Put your fridge against the toilet wall too... and plumb that in. Because by the money you save you can get a fancy new french door fridge with a cold water tap on it...

I agree with you ,the painting is not the best choice. Maybe get one with some nautical theme ( waves, beach or sea shells). You can just get a poster and frame it in light color frame. The coffee table you can just sand with a fine grit sandpaper to expose original timber and put some clear warnish to finish like the coffee table in the photo. Cushions is easy just get something like in your sample photo, go to spotlight or Target, if you make mistake it's easy to return. Last thing get rid of clutter that is seen in the background . I think couch is fine ,looks comfy.

Hi, Are you going to be concerned about noise attenuation coming from the games / home theatre room to the rest of the house? As solid core doors will work better than hollow core when closed at reducing the sound transmission. Sealing the door frames and adding ceiling baffles will help further but would need to be considered at the design stage not as an after thought. The solid doors by themselves over hollow doors may drop the STC rating by 6 to 8dB which is noticeable. Andrew
