Comments (21)It was one of the colours the Dulux rep recommended. If you can, get sample pots and try them out. Best way to check your colours as photos don't always give a true reflection of the colour. Then you can have a look against your tiles and in different light....See MoreAre you scared of strong wall colours?
Comments (22)Hi helendyjak, New colour for 2017? Trends are interesting. I encourage clients to chose colours they love and then I specify a range of those colours to match their space. Trends are great but if you follow trends when painting spaces they will also date quickly and in architecture that can become very costly and wasteful. Now having said that; trends - to answer your question... spaces are filling up with teal (more last year) and shades of green with links back to art deco. Your comments on colour making space smaller are interesting. Did you experience that? I like to get people to start using colour in small transitional spaces so they experiences how it makes a space feel more intimate and makes all the items in that space "pop". It might make the space feel smaller (this is very subjective as bold colour tends to be) the room is still physically the same size but it might have more personality with the bold colour (again subjective.... :) Thanks for the input. Much appreciated....See MoreInterior wall paint colour warm or cool white dilemma
Comments (6)Hi, I don’t know if this helps but in out Reno we did last year we chose lexicon quarter for our walls. I don’t regret it as it suits what we did style wise, and it is a ground floor apartment so needs the extra brightness for reflection - it was previously painted hogbristle and looked really dingy and dark. I agree with the above comment that lexicon is stark. For our new house I’ve gone with Surfmist outside and a warm light grey inside - so two warm tones, but that’s because I wanted a more cozy feel as opposed to a fresh and bright feel. I don’t think it matters on outside vs inside though, I think it really depends on your furnishings and fixtures/floors etc. For example I personally wouldn’t paint my house lexicon if all of my furniture was rich wood and warm tones....See Moreannb1997
