Hi All, Piggybacking on this post for boundary fence colour feedback please. We have Colourbond Gully on the roof and a section of the house is painted to match. The rest of the house exterior is Dulux natural white (50%). Aggregate at front and back is Holcim acacia. Gully is not available as a fence colour so isn't an option. The garden will be started from scratch, so there isn't any current plantings to consider. I personally think Dune is a better tonal match but am worried its too light and wont make the plantings pop like Woodland grey would. Keep the main part white. Paint all the trim on house and garage charcoal. Pity the garage shed is not in the same style of the house, so maybe those doors could be white rather than charcoal so as to not draw attention straight to the garage doors. A new concrete driveway and a bright front door would make this gorgeous retro home a beachy stunner.

Do you like the look of: darker roof, lighter walls or lighter roof, darker walls ?? Surfmist roof being already light, means going white white for the walls if you want the roof to be darker than the walls. Is there anything wrong with the current sandy paint , condition-wise ? I'd be tempted to keep it , double down with the dark highlights -- do the gutters , the downpipes , that 'upstairs' barge board etc in charcoal to match the windows . and spend any savings on the gardens , maybe even a dark stained timber deck in front of the glass entrance doors . And on that note -- is that what you want to replace with a wooden door ? It will be dark ( even if you have glass down each side , doubly so if you do a double wooden door ) and while it won't be horrible , one bit of wood with a mainly grey or sand colour scheme , and charcoal frames everywhere , isn't all that cohesive and matching IMO .
