Need help for kitchen pendant lights - do I match dining pendant???
Comments (10)Never been a fan of matching lighting exactly, but instead suggest coordinating the pendants with your current fixture. You don't have to stick to ball-shaped either and can maybe go with a tubular shape. If you're hubby is stuck on chrome, maybe a chrome tube would work... if you want more glass, we also carry a line of pendant lighting and I'm sure you'll find something to go with it or atleast give you an idea....See Moreneed help choosing a style of kitchen

Comments (15)Like everyone above here ^ LED downlights would be optimal for creating more task focused and general lighting in the space. Due to the nature of your pendant shadowing occurs when the light is on during the evening, this can make it hard to use certain bench space as task areas. If you are unable to do downlights (which can be the case for many customers) wall lights on your task areas would be the next best thing! Try using single spot lights above the areas you use as service spaces, spots that are adjustable would be great as it will allow you to adjust the lighting, be sure that whatever style you select that you pick something that doesn't glare at eye level as this will make it uncomfortable to work with. If you need more help feel free to reach out :) Good luck with your search be sure to post a photo of the final product!...See MoreNeed help with kitchen colours in light bright kitchen
Comments (4)One thing you might want to consider too is the finish of the bench top. Even though dark colours absorb light if you have a shiny coating on your bench top it might give you that glare effect. We have a dark green laminated bench top. And we get a lot on sun in the morning and the bench top is quite resonates a lot of glare. Opt for a matt finish in a material that won't throw a lot of light back. I have attached a photo of our bench top to give you an idea of what I mean...See MoreKatrina H
