I was very glad to hear that there are people who like the fabric I have chosen for the sofa. Unfortunately there is a long waiting time 6-8 weeks. I would be more than happy to get some help placing the furniture as well as choosing the soft furnishing. The colour I have fell in love is teal but open for any recommendations. Leelee, thank you for your comments. The cabinet in the corner has been bugging me since we moved to the house. I'm so excited getting finally a new look to my livingroom that I wanted to try something different with my current furniture. the cabinet is no longer in the livingroom and I feel so much better. Regarding the painting, it needs to wait until the new furniture has arrived. I will take a photo and post it later. By the way, we are getting a new king size ensemble tomorrow and would like to get some help to refresh the look. Our old mattress has been a queen size, so need to get a new bedhead as well. I'm going to create a new post of it.

Of course its all about how your going to be using it and the layout. If you cozy up with a pet, human or animal, how that will play out. Are you watching TV or a fireplace or both. Think about windows and how they will reflect onto the TV at different times of the day. Is it a space you read in or play games etc. Also, children and pets or partners grubby socks, does it need cleaning all the time or be stain resistant. Comfort of course plays a huge role or you won't want to use the space. I would think on those things first. Remember its a big purchase and should be in a neutral color, I always gravitate toward a grey or dark leather, to ground the space and liven it up with texture and color by pillows and throws. Hi Gioenne... We are empty nesters but have two dogs (one large) which is why there is no coffee table. I've ordered two small side tables from a local furniture maker which will have a modern feel but made from reclaimed wood.. We let our dogs on the furniture so it has to be durable... I'm leaning towards modern low sofas. We entertain a lot in summer...

I had a 2nd hand lovely resort style lounge (cane with fabric) which quickly became pulled and tatty after my 2 small dogs had been using it. The leather lounge & two large leather recliners I have show no damage (regardless of long or clipped nails) and both pets love these. Having a blanket the dogs know is theirs is a great idea especially with leather, as the initial cold feeling of leather means both dogs only want to be on the blanket.
