Thanks for your question - The depth of the ledge behind the basin/WC is approx 180mm. Within the wall there is a supporting frame for the wall hung toilet and toilet cistern. Now-days cisterns & frames can measure as little as 80mm and so using these space-saving products the ledge depth can be reduced down quite a bit and be shallower if required. Ledge spaces can serve as a very useful feature, providing countertop space in the bathroom, as well as hiding away plumbing and pipework within.
