Comments (13)Really good basic decorating. Now accessorise to give it some finish - an indoor plant to hide the extension cord socket, some artwork on the wall beside the lounge, a couple of cushions on the lounge and something colourful at one end of the entertainment unit - maybe a nice bowl. You can even plan a cosy throw for winter. The greens like Helenscolour used will really cheer the area up, but you could use any colours you like. This is the beauty of your basic colours, you can change the accessories to suit your moods or the seasons. Do you need some end tables at all? A lamp or lamps could go on them for some soft lighting if you wanted....See MoreNeed opinions and advice on fireplace/TV/living room layout
Comments (8)i'd like some feedback on the two windows, as I am currently looking at the same thing without windows. Why r they there given the expanse of glass on other wall. My mum had two narrow vertical windows either side and as they were un curtained they look like black rectangles at night which I found spooky. They didn't let in much light because of trees outside, but I guess if u had a skyline view say they may be useful. They also compromised positioning of artwork....See MoreStruggling with Family Room TV Wall
Comments (11)I would look at a linen look same as wall, Ikea could have just what you want I think your curtain rod most likely expands as well so would look to widen the rod and then if the curtain allows hang it higher. You might need to move the family photos then perhaps across to where the print is and remember, eye height, I like your timber cabinet, white could look too stark without changing others things, try the curtains first and see what you think. cheers....See MoreLamp for TV room

Or a plant If you are sold on a lamp on the entertainment unit, I wasn't sure these existed but I thought some rock lamps would look cool and found some. I feel like you need some sort of boulder or rock looking lamp to own that space, a small lamp will look lost. \...See MoreA B
