Stainless steel splashback cleaning
Comments (2)I use Windex and paper towels on my range hood which is stainless steel and a cheap one I might add as I am currently renting and it comes up really well. Best thing I have found for no streaks....See MoreKitchen splashback
Comments (14)I have seen black sinks done and they were nice and gave me second thoughts, but after consideration I was happy to keep to stainless in my new kitchen. What gives me concern is you have black in your appliances and sink that could give the finished result a very patchy look - depends on how everything is laid out. I too, was going to choose a glass spashback but at the last minute changed my mind as I was worried it would look a little too bland. Instead I chose pale glass mosaic tiles - not cheap - but I am now so happy I did, they just look amazing, are the real focal point of the kitchen and get endless compliments. They change colour through the day according to the light or reflect other things on the bench or even my clothing, to give the kitchen a different look every time I walk into it. With everything else so plain in the kitchen, they really give it a lift. Sorry I can't post a photo for you as I don't have my computer at the moment....See MoreStainless steel benches - worth the $$?? Resale??
Comments (2)Go for it. You will be cross every day if you don't (I didn't want the recon stone stuff in my last kitchen...got pressured into it...hated it EVERY DAY!!). Current one is going to be stainless...absolutely!...See MoreWhich is the most timeless splashback material of all?
Comments (17)I love our glass splash back. We choose an electric blue as the rest of our kitchen has a lot of timber, white and windows. Easy to keep clean, withstands the heat of the stove and you can choose any colour you like. you can even match it with an existing wall colour if you wanted to. The aluminium one sounds good, but I think that in our climate with salty air and a lot of moisture it would show corrosion spots very quickly. macymacmaples, I agree that there are a lot of choices for tile, but the 'easy to replace' comment doesn't really make sense to me. Then again, I have no idea how easy it would be to replace our splash back, which is wedged between the overhead cupboards and the benchtop - I still love it though, even after 10 years!!!...See Moregirlguides
