Such great ideas from everyone. The smaller the space, the more creative you need to be. A friend of mine has a tiny ensuite which she turned into a "wet room" and some of her Reno ideas are: Back-to-wall toilet (less space, easy to clean), In-wall (cavity) cabinet, Wall hung sink with a built in side shelf (with lovely chrome trap/plumbing). You do have to waterproof the ENTIRE room to have a wet room but don't need a shower door. She also tiled about 30cms outside the ensuite door (in the bedroom area) to save the bedroom floor from any water damage which turned out to be a great idea. The layout seems fixed by the current plumbing work. I would fully box out the pole to seal up the room properly. Shower with a view sounds lovelly but may need a timer to avoid water waste :) Could you move the door to the en-suite away from shower. You could then make a walk in or double shower?

we've had a full height window in a shower overlooking a gorgeous bush view and the only concession to privacy was to install a roller blind that could be used if/when needed (for more discreet visitors and at night looking out felt a little exposed) have the two windows the same height and tiled into the reveals and consider a walk in shower with the shower grate against the outside wall although you should consult a plumber and tiler before committing to any ideas as there will be potential restrictions with drainage ..i would be inclined to have a tall narrow louvre window between the toilet and the post and same height fixed panel in the shower although the best size and shape will be decided by structural decisions and budget but a triangular fixed glass panel above both windows would look spectacular...i've also suggested moving the entry for a more generous shower space with the post enclosed, 1200 wide wall hung vanity for your exciting basin and in wall mirror doored wall cabinet to reflect the view to be seen from the loo

We have the same layout as you in our 90s spec built home. We have Bunnings type cavity sliders so I imagine ours are about as cheap as you can get. They are awful - they are noisy when they slide so if one of us gets up in the night for the bathroom, we have to open the door in slow motion so as not to wake the other one up! We have them on our other wet rooms through the house and I find them not too bad acoustically but they don't screen anything in the ensuite. I would not recommend them at all. As for whether to have 1 or 2 doors, the only time I close the WIR door is when I am at my wits end haha! It's a great space for a private phone conversation but I really couldn't be bothered closing the door any other time
