New kitchen, paint for cabinets.....?
Comments (2)What are the colours of your floor, splashback and benchtops? Could you post a photo - and take it to your paint shop to get some samples. Paint the samples on A4 cardboard and then, in the light of that room, you will see which one works....See MoreHelp choosing cabinet colour for kitchen
Comments (6)Hi Heather, whatever the selection - we always recommend to have the cabinetry finish match as closely as possible to your wall finish - as to not look like two contrasting whites, you may just consider repainting after you've made the selection. Dulux Natural white or Lexicon Quarter are both very popular selections - and not on the too cold or too warm side either. We also find that most clients too will mix finishes - for example using a grey for the upper cabinetry, or on the island bench - to create contrast, you may notice that between all white walls, benchtop and sink the white becomes overwhelming! Good luck - we are loving the sounds of how it is all coming together so far!...See MorePainting Ikea kitchen cabinet fronts
Comments (0)Hi all, Thanks for helping us with our kitchen enquiries so far. After looking at Ikea's Voxtorp/Ekestad, we've decided instead to go with something along the lines of the kitchens at Rose Seidler House and the Grand Designs North Balgowlah House, thanks again Dr Retro for reminding us what our house is! So, we are after a mixture of plain white and coloured panels. Has anyone had doors/drawers professionally painted or bought doors from a supply company? We have previously painted kitchen cabinets but the finish was not great. Thanks again, Lisa...See MoreBest warm neutral paint for kitchen cabinetry and wall paint colours.
Comments (13)I like the colours you’ve suggested. I find neutrals restful. Do you have a sample of your cabinetry? An easy way to get a coordinated look, without whites clashing, is to have the white colour matched at the paint shop to the cabinetry. The colour match will tell you if White Beach is on the right track. I’d consider a more plainer white for the trim ie Natural White as suggested above or Berkshire White. For your splashback - could the budget stretch to the benchtop material? If not a tile colour that picks up one of the benchtop fleck colours will give you a coordinated look. Sounds lovely. Come back and post the completed pics....See MoreBettie Waddle
