We have a glass rangehood similar to Futuro Futuro's Acqualina Glass product and I love it. The top and bottom of the glass gets given a clean about once a week with citrus multi-purpose cleaning spray and then wiped down with a moistened glass cleaning cloth for a pristine finish. Takes around 5 minutes in total. Cleaning the brushed stainless part is more difficult. As mentioned previously, its hard to remove all the marks. Will definately try the WD40. Me, personally, I don't like the mirrored finish. Given the window is acting as the "splashback" I would have gone for something invisible like what Sheryl Horton showed.

After much consideration of your photo, I really think you have it right! The gold mirror matches the gold towel rail ! All your other elements, i.e. the plant and stand, match perfectly with and enhance the room's overall look. I think the suggestion of painting the wall behind the mirror, is an excellent one, in a shade of green which would tie in with the tiles on the floor and the plant. You have the ceiling height to handle it. I wouldn't be shy with a dark emerald green to complement the tiles, I think the gold would then really shine and blend with the gold hand rail. Photocopy the pic of the room and using a texta, colour in the wall and see what you think before committing. Be brave. Congrats on a beautiful room! I don't think this is a big issue. These lights are beautiful and interesting. I like the concrete detail. This will make a beautiful mix to your marble tiles and add texture. With a beautiful bulb they will make a statement and you will forget about matching the veins:-) I hope this helps! Nathalie

This is gorgeous and love the use of colour. To be honest a lot of homes are very bland and IMO no personality with the odd "Feature wall" every now and again which is also a bland one colour wall to spice things up. Having patterned wallpaper or covers makes the space look it has a worldly feel to it. If its your forever home it should have some personality which it looks like this one does and its been pulled together very well. Congrats
