Hi there. I have gotten quotes from a few companies for my kitchen renovations.
Company A:
- uses particle board as their carcasses.
- is considered the more “high end” of the two.
- has European accessories like pull out baskets, pantry baskets etc.
- acrylic finish for the cabinets.
-$1,600 more expensive than Company B.
Company B:
- uses plywood as their carcasses.
- considered more “budget”.
- uses Chinese accessories, so the accessories don’t look as good. Probably function just as well but not sure about long-term quality.
- also acrylic finish for the cabinets.
- $1,600 cheaper than Company A.
My question is: which one would you go for?
Company A Pros:
High end/luxe look.
All European accessories - Blum and Kessebohmer.
Company A Cons:
Uses particle board.
Slightly more expensive.
Company B Pros:
Slightly cheaper.
Plywood is better than particle board.
Company B Cons:
Some China accessories which don’t look as good and am unsure of quality.
Overall look is not as high end as Company A.
