what a great looking laundry but it's hard to see the fine details so consider adding a piece of painted quad timber to fill in the gap between the side of the cabinet and the wall under the projecting counter and paint any bare timber including the edge of the counter to protect from any water penetration, tile the splashback and touch up the painted walls and you're finished

I wouldn't do an angled cut to the benchtop as it is not solid timber. It looks like it is particleboard under a veneer. At the moment you can only see the exposed particleboard when coming in through the glass doors. If you gave it a 45 degree angled cut the exposed particleboard would be larger and more obvious. I thought that IKEA sold end trim pieces to finish off benchtops?

Not sure what you have chosen for splash back, but if it matches skirting tile I would wrap tile around the wall and take it to floor. It will halve the bench nib. You also need the end tap for the bench and a side infill panel cut to size. Could extend the til over it if you want to use a simplistic timber piece to infill.

as long as there's no risk of injury leave it alone it looks fine although if you really must do something build up the thickness of the wall by adding a door jamb around the doorway vertically and horizontally and not against the sliding door

Lovely new laundry, it would be a mistake to cut/angel the bench top, leave it as it is and as already suggested have a"filler" panel the same material as the cabinets fitted up and under the bench top and across between the cabinet and wall. I'am hoping that the bench top goes to the wall which perhaps should have repaired before fitting the cupboards, but if it doesn't the tiles could cover this up

you could also just cut a tiny triangle or round off the corner (only 2-3cms) and redo the edging so that you don't catch yourself or a laundry basket etc on the projecting corner but really, it looks just fine as is

Please don't cut anything it's not a problem as it is, just proceed with finishing off the laundry and see how it goes. This way both bench tops match and 2.5cm not worth the trouble, it will also look like an after thought to cover up.

Have another look, the handles project out further than the bench top! cheers

the second picture is a good example for the tiling but you still need to add the filler between the cabinet and the wall
