Thanks for the clarification, in all likelihood it will be easiest to keep to the existing conditions - unless where the pipes come out can easily be bricked up with spares you might have, or similar... It becomes a little more complicated. There are plenty of modern joinery pieces you can install to accomodate this, and minimise costs. You can still make the bench more narrow to the side near the wc of space becomes an issue - this will just become a custom piece instead of one you buy off the shelf at space furniture, masters, etc. not to say that relocating the pipes is not feasible - have your quotes done first so you can compare apples to apples.

ckat0076, you are most welcome. The porcelain tiles are fantastic. I have always been a wood floors lover and have lived with wooden floorboards for 20 years. But I must say the tiles are sensational, they have just been the best option for our family. You do not have to worry about anything happening to them, yesterday I dragged a big sideboard across the floors and no marks. No more worrying about water on boards. The only thing I could say is the tile I chose turned out to be lighter, when laid over the large floor space. The sample tile looked darker. I cannot remember if your house is a new build or a renovation as we had to have a 15mm screed under the tile. If you have any questions at all, I am happy to answer honestly.

floor to ceiling seems to be the fashion but we've decided to keep tiles for our new bathroom restricted to floor, shower to 2200 to match top of architraves and splashback...much more economical as you could save about 10m+ tiles plus cost of installation (around $2000?) and we plan to use plainer tiles and add paint and/or wallpaper as the feature
