Roof advice sought: cape cod roof on "canberra red" brick house
Comments (8)Thanks for your thoughts, they have helped us with our decision. We're now planning on using the barramundi roof tile (it's a grey, a bit softer than the soho nights black. And not so shiny) with matching gutter and fascia. And the cladding in paperbark. I was thinking cream windows instead of the timber, so there's some lighter colours on the brick downstairs to tie it to the top. We can't match it exactly to the paperbark cladding because we aren't using aluminium windows, but I'm hoping the cream (which is supposed to be more of an off-white with this manufacturer) will look okay in the clad dormers upstairs. Fingers crossed!...See MoreSpanish Mission transformed into high-quality family home
Comments (13)I love the transformations. Design is subjective, be kind and considerate with your words. Bringing Spanish design into Oz spark a big debate anyway. Rejoicing and preferring foreign style of architecture over another is fine. What not fine is to speak negatively of it like its a heritage item. Maybe its a lesson so none of us post any specific style of architecture ever again? Remind me if a client wants to replace his Bali Style house in Surfers to replace with Hampton, I should just whack his head and walk away....See Morehelp with roof, window and house colour
Comments (1)you'll have a much better BASIX energy savings rating and a more comfortable home with a light coloured roof and the house will look so much better if you consider white walls, black window frames and one of the light greys like Windspray or shale Grey for the roof with gutters in black, fascias black or white, downpipes matching the walls and garage and front doors in Timber tones...enjoy your new home...See MorePurchased Eltham Home - Want To Change Metal Roof Colour?
