I think you have it all in hand, great choice of colours for what you have to work with and dohraime has it right with the downpipes. Don't forget to post a pic when you finish.

I did a Bunnings white kitchen similar to this with custom made benchtops and European appliences that is now close to 6 years old. It looked fantastic until recently when some of the panels suddenly went yellowish (yes, seemed like overnight) and others are still OK. I dont overuse the kitchen and produce a lot of heat as I am on my own and live in a warm climate so a quick stir fry or a salad is usual. Interesting that this is not unusual.

I very successfully repainted every surface in my kitchen with great results. I used a product called ESP and after application ( following instructions) I painted over cupboards and bench tops in oil based enamel paint. I let it dry for 24 hours and after a very light sand gave it another coat. After another 24 hours and another light sand I gave it a final coat. It looked fantastic...what was a disgusting all laminex mustard coloured kitchen became white with green plants. I had decided that if the bench tops didn't work I would replace them . Using boards they were completely fine. HINTS> Take doors and cupboard handles off before you paint and replace door handles later. Wooden knobs etc look great with white. Plan to stay completely out of kitchen for at least four days. Don't skimp on paint. Best quality and test the colour. I used satin but could have used gloss. Worth a try.

tysm. that's a great help. my kitchen will be in laminex chalk white with some laminex classic oak bits. A bit nervous about the chalk white as I cant find any examples of it online but will see how it looks when it is installed and match wall paint to that. s m half looks best match with the sample. my.
