Hi soodle, thank you for your lovely comments. As a high quality bespoke item with gorgeous curves, oak timber veneer and white corian, it is at the higher end, however comparable in price to anything similar you might find at Reece etc (and it's very difficult to find anything with curves at the moment!!). We sourced this vanity a few months ago for $3560 + GST + delivery fee, however would need to reconfirm this price with our new cabinet maker. We could also arrange delivery + installation for approx $250 (excluding plumbing - also TBC with our new cabinet maker). Please let us know if you are interested - we would love to assist! We have an electrician in the family, so that's sorted. These are the things that the real estate agent said needed redoing before selling, he said it was the difference between high 6's & low 8's. We are one of the few single story homes in our area, which is apparently extremely sought after. No one is pulling down 30 year old houses in this suburb, just renovating or extending & sub dividing is not an option. We wanted to put in a granny flat & were turned down. Which is why we are building & moving. :)

Thank you everyone, lots of food for thought. oklouise, would you have the false wall going all the way along the bathroom or just jutting out behind the vanity? We have a few cm to work with as the vanity we are looking at is a little narrower than it could be. jacqueline thank you so much for your photo! Something that goes down a bit lower might help disguise the pipes, ours will be a much smaller room than yours. siriskey, I have attached the plan for this room to see if it is helpful. I am leaning towards choosing a different vanity but as you have said this one is lovely! But it won't be lovely if it doesn't work...!

Does the bathroom come off the bedroom or off the glossy tiled floor. If off the bedroom, then take a sample of your laminate flooring to a tile shop and match to that in a Matt finished tile. And yes, the wooden vanity will look great. If the bathroom is joining the gloss tiles, then why can't you use those tiles as well, in the bathroom. Your tile shop would help you with a good match, if those are too slippery for bathroom. Definitely still use the wood vanity, to add some texture. The bedroom tone and gloss tiles are different, so which ever room the bathroom is joining, use that colour tone.
