I so agree with Sarah. Let the floor be timber and the cupboards fade away into the walls with a soft putty colour. Those lights so need replacing also...there is a conical clear glass pendant light that would look good here! Pearl Lighting in Willoughby have them and elsewhere. Dont know what you are thinking for the floor, but there are some wonderful jute rugs around such as Armidillo. Enjoy your room! Victoria

Definitely glass and stainless steel for the TV unit, some round glass and stainless side tables rather than a coffee table in the middle and then invest in some colourful non-stripey cushions! The floor will look fab as a feature in the room but in winter it may need the warm feel of a plain coloured shaggy rug in front of your lounge.

Ive discovered CS Cavity sliders... do a soundproof cavity unit - but only for a 90mm stud wall. Mine is 70mm. But I have since found Acoustica (annandale) and bought soundproofing stuff that I will fit between the noggins myself. There is also acoustic gyprock and loads of other amazing products! Ive had to go for a normal cavity slider door (CS cavity sliders) but adding my own hardware as I wanted a Soft close (can only get that on the 90mm stud cavity units). Bought BRIO hardware. Hoping it will all work well. And yes - a solid core door!

Thanks bigreader, I appreciate your comments. Do you suggest all 5 piers in basault or only some of them (eg. the 3 closest to each garage)? I was just concerned that having all the piers in such a dark colour may emphasise the narrowness of the homes. What are your thoughts on Ghosting Half for the front facade and full strength Ghosting for the piers to keep it light but with a slight contrast? Also do you think Basault or Woodland Grey for the roof colour would look better?
