Underneath it is very open, I'd suggest popping some baskets on that bottom shelf, or just one larger round one. Definitely agree with a large mirror or art directly above it so it defines it as its own zone rather than just a table randomly placed on a wall. Love your coffee table!

I would rethink both the tv cabinet and coffee table as along with the couches they are too heavy for the space. You need to get some light underneath them rather than the solid shapes. Currently they stain is too red. Glass is ok for tables but it can be difficult to keep clean with children in a home and having something all glass would highlight how heavy the couches were. The combo of a timber top and the iron base is good for the coffee table You could possibly paint, restain or oil the cabinet to match the table. Alternately they could be painted and used for storage in children bedrooms rather than discarding. I would work on getting some texture into the room and a lighter rug would make difference to the overall look. Go brighter rather than lighter with the cushions - and introduce some pattern- they can always be returned if they don't work. Throw rugs might also be cosy. good luck

Hi Lisa, if you’re not able to paint the wicker, I would redo the lounge cover - beige is a really hard colour to match and it’s muted compared to the fresher colour of wicker - basically one colour looks “clean” the wicker, and one colour looks “dirty” the lounge fabric, I don’t mean it is dirty, I mean the tone of the fabric if that makes sense. A light green-grey colour fabric would work really well in this space, a fabric store should be able to help with undertones. Either way in regards to the cushions, I would go for pink and green. You want to pull the colours out of the artwork behind the lounge so that the space ties together - this would also help tie in with the burgundy kick board in the kitchen. I would use a few pink velvet cushions on the main sofas, that way you’re relating the texture of the green velvet chairs and moving the art workwork into the space. I would also use some green cushions so that the green chairs are more integrated. If you can find a pink and green patterned cushion or fabric, you are on a winner! 😊 I’m not sure what your budget is, but I’ve Had a quick look and for pattern cushions, these would be great and go really well with a softer pink velvet cushion. I know there would be softer pattern options out there if you prefer that as well. I hope this helps and I’m sure whatever you decide to do will look great!
