I know this probably has been asked a few times but the stories seem to be a few years old now. I’m in the process of renovating my 25 year old kitchen that has laminex benchtops. I’m considering either acrylic or engineered stone benchtops. Has anyone had both and now have a preference? The main advantage of stone seems to be that it is more heat resistant? But I believe acrylic can be fixed relatively easy should it get scratched chipped etc. It also can be moulded and is quieter. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
