Comments (2)For Makeup lighting you need wall mounted strip lights. Exhaust fan/light will be enough for a small bathroom. I'd suggest all on separate switches, only because it's nicer to have a light without combining the fan. I have Renovated 3 small bathrooms like this, one was able to have a skylight and I do love that. Pendant lights are lovely but don't really give enough lighting for makeup but if you really want pendants the best ones are clear glass pendants....See MoreOpinion on colour of laminex for bathroom vanities pls!
Comments (10)Thanks robandlyn. I see what you mean about the black. I initially thought that too but when I put a black sample up against the tiles it looked quite harsh against the 'softness' of the tile. The tiles have natural undertones and some brown/natural coloured flecks through them and I thought a browny colour would tie in and add warmth. But I'm open to others' opinions!!...See MoreOpinions on laminate for floating bathroom vanities please!
Comments (10)Difficult- the tiles and floor match beautifully it's just the laminate. Don't think brown works as grey tile has blue undertone Have you tried a navy against the tiles? I have navy laminate in one bathroom with osprey ceasarstone benchtop and warm grey tiles and looks great Thing is though laminate mist has to go with vanity top and splashback so if marble feature only above bath then could use White as clashes with marble but nice with grey tile and floor So hard nearly there...See MoreHelp me decide on my bathroom tile
Comments (27)Hi creativelychallenged, I'm pretty sure all the tiles are faux-marble from Beaumont Tiles. I've used them in bathrooms and they are cost-effective (from $40sqm un-laid) and look beautiful. Marble and now faux-marble is a classic look so not prone to dating. You may have noticed its recent popularity due to the faux-marble now available as the average homeowner may not have the budget for real marble. People worry about decor 'dating' - think about what you love, what will make you happy to live with - decor doesn't last forever because our own tastes change and decor can suffer from wear and tear. Choose what you LOVE and you can't go wrong :-)...See MorePaul Hefford
