If I walked into a bathroom that had painted tiles and I didn't have the money to repair it, or I liked the original yellow, I'd be dark. Once you paint it, the tiles will definitely need replacing at some stage. At work I always say, will your quick fix make more work in the long run. Change the taps to chrome(stainless is too expensive) and leave it. It's a clean functioning space that will not turn anyone off.

Love the layout, achieves some of my loves - doors on hallways leading to bedrooms, toilet outside shower room in main bath. A couple of tweaks for me - can’t see a decent fridge space, fridges ar deeper than standard cabinets, appears to be a single fridge space in front of D/w, En-suite seems to have a small vanity in comparison to room size. I would swing bath around 90deg and swap toilet and vanity, getting a generous vanity. But back to taps, you will pull it off if there is some theme connecting the areas, it might be tile layout, tap style... Suggest you make mood boards for each wet area and see how they gel together yet different.

Colour is so personal . Myself , I actually would keep the existing blue tiles if possible , as opposed to going white . Assuming you aren't going to have colourful appliances on display , white tiles and white walls and white doors and white windows and a stainless range and hood and oak benchtops and floor doesn't get me at all excited ! In fact , look at the pictures . Imagine you aren't changing anything , EXCEPT you have removed the top row of tiles everywhere they don't 'hit' a cupboard , and replaced in a deeper blue , and you almost would have saved $5k ! A bit of a lift , a newer look -- the existing bits all look fine and usable to me .
