Consider another street tree nearer the pedestrian entrance, with a plant bed that swirles around to the big wall, and another plant bed on the downhill side of the front walk. Let the guests relax a bit and smile on route to your welcome area.

You could try cladding the middle of the brick pylon (in between the two garages) atm it is an arrow pointing to the roof line highlighting the height. If you could clad it it in the same material that is above the garage doors or render just this pylon and then paint in a complementary colour to the brickwork to minimise the impact. atm the paint colour above the doors is a contrasting colour, highlighting the space. Your house currently has a "warm" colour brick and roof tile. When you go to the paint store and look at the colour wall you will notice that it is divided into two sections, one side is the "warm" side (colours that are red, orange etc) and the other side is "cool" colours (blues and greens) chose a colour from the warm side to complement your existing bricks/roof.

I love the gates you’ve found Dave. Painted white, they will be perfect. You are probably struggling to find gates for further down the driveway because typically those houses didn’t have them. The driveway led straight down to the garage located at the back. If you need gates for security then I’d suggest something that echoes the front gates. Something that will keep the kids and dogs contained but won’t visually interrupt the wonderful frontage. You don’t want to cut off the cascading look of the triple frontage as it moves deeper into your block.
