The penny rubber flooring yes and it's great, I think anything with a rough surface will collect dirt. You can get a commercial lino that looks like granite etc that also looks good and doesn't have a polished surface

We are building in southern highlands and needing to make some savings. We had previously avoided any talk of laminates and vinyl flooring but this weekend did take a closer look and were told that “new generation” vinyls are far superior to the older styles, although still laid in planks. The appearance is certainly pretty good for “fake” Australian hardwoods. I’m keen to hear of the experiences of others who’ve installed these newer vinyls in bedrooms and hallways. Disclaimer -- I hate grey with a vengance . So i may be biased . But if you scroll up , and get the 'luxury planking' at the top of your screen , and the Perfect Boredom at the bottom ( the heading thing cuts through the middle ) it looks horrible IMO . In the middle photo , the darker timber and the white actually makes the grey almost acceptible as a base , but look at the other pics , and even the floor is looking as grey as a corpse with all the colour washed out .
