could you get fabric with the wallpaper pattern ? sometimes the wallpaper company has the match ? if so do one cushion to go with one of the grey ones, otherwise, I would try and match one grey with one of the other colour in the wallpaper. 2 cushions is enough for the size of the bench. Try another arrangement for the rug, put it right to the door (it is not big enough for central use in that space) , move the table to the back near the wallpapered wall, add an armchair (like a bergere) beside it. Nothing on the left of the entrance wall, what is there is the wrong scale and too high . I would also try a long circular tablecloth in an off-white on the table, it would give substance to the arrangement. I love your wallpaper, but I think the other walls would benefit with a darker tone imitating the wallpaper background colour. It is almost there keep going.

I would definitely paint out timber frames, they in themselves become the feature if you don't…..and I would hope you mean a soft grey! To "hide" skirts and arc's (I renovate and sell for a living) I do them the same colour as the walls but in a satin finish…..you could do semi gloss….a water based enamel works best. Make sure you prep them well though, either a good sand to rough up, or something like ESP. I always thought rule of thumb for a feature wall, paper or paint, is the wall opposite the greatest light source, ie. the wall that gets hit with the most natural light. Failing that, I think it would look lovely on the alcove/bay window wall and do the inset of the alcove/bay window in a contrast….say a soft version of the pinkish hues in the paper??? You seem to have some substantial pieces of furniture, and a piano, so doing the other walls would compete and look overbearing to me. Unless you are going the whole Regency style embossed paper/stripes/pattern everywhere…………...

Hi I have a Victorian, Jarrah floor in Satin finish. Skirts dado picture rail and wood in An off white. Colour under the Dado is a burgundy. Used about a dozen or more sample pots looking for the right shade.. So many came out brown or purple. I settled on Dulux Forest Fruits Berry. Really happy with it. Solver paints have a heritage colour card.. There are lots of choices of reproduction colours giving you heritage style and build decade range so you can be colour authentic to the build. If you love the look, why not. Especially given wallpaper is non permanent. My concern would be the pattern could be distracting when you are watching tv... What type of brick look are you thinking of? The whitewashed look, distressed red brick? The wood wallpapers could bring in industrial look also. Something in the grey tones to tie in with your sheers perhaps?
