we have a red roof now but when we replace it ,it will be zinc much better in summer and want fade we are going to paint walls colour bond cream with a trim of sage green on the bottom of windows good luck sally.

Hi Deen, We’ve decided on Dulux Teahouse and Spirited falcon. I looked a few greys instead, Flooded gum for a more grey look which was originally what I was after but the spirited falcon provides more contrast and makes the Teahouse stand out.

I had a colour consultant come out and help. Taking into account leafy surrounds and colour of homes next door, this was the outcome - it came together really well: All exterior walls - Resene Double Truffle Roof, Gutters / Gargae door - Colorbond Wallaby Front door - Resene Ironsand Window & Frames - Colorbond Surfmist Fascia - Colorbond Surfmist We have a lot of red soil where we live so couldn't possibly go with a white exterior or I'd be forever cleaning the stain off lower walls. I recently completed my owner built house and shed. My shed has shale grey roof and walls and is very cool all year round in The Atherton Tablelands near Cairns. My neighbor used monument and has a very hot shed. My house has a shale grey roof and the walls are cement block painted with shale grey(Taubmans). The garage door and is surfmist which looks white. The window and door frames are white. I love the look and what ceiling space I have does not get overly hot. The shale grey roof appears lighter than the walls because of the reflected light. This gives a nice contrast. Another neighbor has a surmist roof which can be too glarey to look at. Bear in mind that monument being dark will also show more noticeable fading than shale grey.
