Which colour would you use to paint these windows?
Hi everyone,
We're looking at painting the window frames on both the front and back of our house. The front is currently primrose (I think). We will keep the manor red roof and the primrose gutters, but keen for a different window frame colour as there's just a bit too much primrose going on. At this stage the security frame (also primrose) is staying.
We also need to paint the windows out the back to work better with the new sliding door. As you can see in the close up of the door, although it's called black in colour, it looks more like monument.
Would you go for something like British Paints Ace of Clubs for both the front and back windows? Or paint them different colours?
We haven't got a front fence to have to colour match, however we've just planted a murraya hedge at the front and we will also plant murrayas on the side boundaries. So there'll be lots of green around the house.

Comments (4)There is a Dulux colour called iron sand that depending on the light can throw both chocolate and liquorice green which would work with your brickwork - You could probably do the same with the guttering. You should be able to get a chip from a roofing specialist and try it against the bricks. You could also take your lead from the colour of the tiles on the windowsills. Comments (6)Hi there, I would be thinking to go for white cabinets and walls,with white appliances that you plan on Keeping or can change to stainless, your choice of benchtop. as this picture shows the timber door frames etc will then fit, White cream and timber should blend in with the floor tiles, maybe even the blinds will look ok, photos help...See MoreWould you use Colorbond colours inside your home? The colorbond pallet is so small compared to colours available form Dulux, Porters etc. all of which can be spray painted,rolled or painted by hand, etc. I just find it limiting, notwithstanding the excellent examples you have posted. Comments (0)I am planning an update for the large kitchen/dining/family area and new paint and floorcoverings throughout my late 1980's house. Looking for advice please on which white to paint my walls and doors to work to best advantage with: - doeskin (mustardy yellowish ) colour aluminium windows/sliding doors (painting window frames is beyond my budget) - jarrah (redddish brown) wood frames to main room doors in living area (thinking of changing these from stained to shiny wood finish) - a few special (handmade by hubby) jarrah furniture pieces to mix in with new styling. -woodgrained pattern vinyl tiles or bamboo flooring - new kitchen - probably simple white kitchen handleless cupboards (something that doesn't date too much) and a light speckled stone benchtop (room has low natural light) Was thinking of pale walls not to compete with yellow of windows or dark door frames and using splashes of greens in plants and accessories, gold and limited black, But maybe this is all wrong.
