Lovely print. I had a peacock feather print and I had a colour called glacier Grey behind. Think it was Wattyl . Again like your other walls it is a greenish grey but darker. I also had my prints on a charcoal wall..loved that too. As you said the picture ties in with the chairs and now it's not necessary to add more matching colours. I'd buy a couple of sample pots and paint large pieces of cardboard. With the other walls I would consider painting them in whisper white (Dulux) a very universal colour that ties in nicely with all colours.

It would off been nice too have a few photos of the room from different angles as this would help with ideas on what wall would be best for the feature wall. To break up all that mirror you could use a spring loaded curtain rod and using a light weight fabric with either tabs or grommets for the rod to go through so that you can pull the fabric aside when you need to use the mirror or to get something out of the wardrobe. In the past when I use to rent, I use to fold up and take down the blinds and then used spring loaded curtain rods inside the window bay and place in light weight fabric nets or a nice shear fabric used in dressmaking to add some colour to the room. I am not a big fan of blinds I find them in personal and cold. Depending on your colour likes, you could use red through to orange. Red and yellow being a prime colour and as such orange is a companion colour made from the primaries and that's why they work so well together. Day lilies have bold red through to yellow so this could be a guide for that palette choice. Don't use black is too bold with yellow, but using mid to light ranged greys are good. Creams and whites will work look at the daffodil range for colour inspiration there. Always look at what colours can be made from yellow and a second primary colour as this will give you your shades to soften the primaries down. Yellow - Red = oranges Yellow - White = creams Yellow - Blue = greens By doing this I think you might find the colour combo that you will like, and it's not just the primaries that you can use look at the second primaries and see what goes with the yellow and try mixing it up a little. At the end of the day it's a bedroom so you don't want loud colours, you will want soft warm colours that help with calming but also romantic too. I do like the idea of the hob in the island so you can be connected to the living area while cooking, but splatter can be a problem. Have you thought of connecting the island to the bench under the window, and putting the hob at that end of it? That way you could have a low splashback in front of the hob. It looks like you've got plenty of space to be creative with the shape of the bench here if, as I suspect, there are doors adjacent to this area. When I lived in Italy, I saw an apartment kitchen where the space was very limited, and they had a door to the balcony from the kitchen, so they had to very creative with the layout. The bench was a lovely sinuous shape, which tapered from the bar/eating area to a narrower end in front of the door. It was absolute genius. The sink and dishwasher could also move to this area if you have the budget to move the plumbing, keeping your cooking and clean-up area together, and the splashback would provide a bit of cover for dirty dishes. I like the idea of moving the cooking and cleaning zone away from the thoroughfare of the stairs. Alternatively, you could move the pantry into the alcove and put the sink where the pantry is currently. You could make the alcove area galley style, which would make that area feel more spacious. Am I right in thinking that outside the kitchen window is an outdoor dining/living area? Are you planning on changing the window so that it opens up more? A bar either inside or outside the window would provide a nice connection from the kitchen to the outside, especially if you move the hob to this area. You have so much space here that your options are pretty much endless. I suggest having a good play with cutouts of your appliances on a floor plan to see how you could make the space really sing.

I would ditch the cream and rose coloured everything, it is very dated. Go fresh white if your floor tiles allow. If they're still really creamy and look bad with white, go a more modern cream like a Hogs Bristle Quarter or similar but with fresh white trims (not a hint of cream!). Sounds like you'll get a plain modern vanity, toilet etc, so I'd keep it simple. Actually, if the toilet is white, can you keep it? It looks perfectly fine. Same for the mirror. The curtain is the other obvious thing that would make a big difference, you could replace with a roman blind that is in a bold pattern / colour. Without knowing your personal style preferences, it's hard to suggest, but I'd suggest a bold stripe or even a traditional palm tree print, a fresh ticking, a preppy geometric, lots of options... You can then replace that in time when you prefer something different. Then add a bit of personality with a couple of nice framed prints that reference your blind pattern, add a couple of fresh hand towels and it should look really fresh!
