oh sorry, when I referred to the white section I was thinking of the zincworks, it looks great along side the moose, but more so with the new basmati, because the zincworks is quite grey, whereas the moose alongside the white truffle- the moose has a brown undertone . the zincworks visual texture has a grain direction, perhaps you can have your cabinetmaker have the moose all vertical, while all the cabinets in zincworks could go horizontal. In your case the back cabinets and overheads, including the base island units. If you do agree to do the back bench in Moose, this will only be more impressive with the zincworks drawers below it. These two decors were actually the ones selected for the silk kitchen featured on the brochure, where you can clearly see how well they team up, they are closer together than you would think. If you don't go with the timber accent, use the moose in its place.. except the bar-back panel under the island, go with Zincworks there if timber is not an option, because it will stand out against the moose tall box at the sink end of the island. yvonne.. re sanding cupboards I had mine professionally sanded because they were looking worn. timber is American Oak and it really didn't lighten very much by sanding. so depending on your timber you might not achieve much. i would change a few upper cabinets with glass doors, white perspex or remove a few doors, paint the back of shelving and hang wine glasses or whetever and break the load that way. I replaced my range hood with a pull out chrome one and that in itself made a difference nt tying in with the chrome handles. see pictures. maybe you could paint the legs or reupholster the stools to white...all part of the kitchen.

Hi Melissa Padley, The pattern in the 'Clamshell' is stunning in a big slab, I haven't seen it throw a pink tone. The 'Shitake' (of the same pattern, more brown tones) however can throw pinks. The 'Clamshell' has more depth than the 'Nordic loft' pattern so would get my vote. If pricing comes into it the 'Nordic loft' is part of CaesarStone's standard range, 'Clamshell' is in the deluxe range making it slightly more expensive. This price does not reflect the quality of the product as they are both as good as the other, more that the deluxe range patterning is harder to achieve than the standard range. Exactly the same tones as mine except i lifted it with a stainless steel col glass splashback and s/steel handles. I can change my accessories to suit the season even . clean and lovely as dark col bench tops look cluttered to me.Infact last week we even replaced the two downlights with 2 smoked glass pendents over the sink ( like yours) and they look great. Glad you are happier with your chosen result.
