window covering options for large glass sliding doors
Comments (5)Large glass doors will be a major heat leaker... depending on your aspect and the time of the year, leaking heat into the house or out of it. Nothing better than triple block curtains with pelmets (with a top), that go all the way to the floor and extend past the window. Not quite as good thermally but better for adjusting light into the room while maintaining privacy are timber (not plastic) shutters, fitted inside the frame of the window, and again down to the floor... so that the entire window pane is covered when the shutters are closed. The latter would probably best suit your needs, unless your house swings between freezing cold and blisteringly hot....See MoreCot doona covers and linen!
Comments (3)Glad your little girl is two. I agree with no doonas for the younger babies. I've a 3 and 5 year old. I'd suggest you skip a cot doona and go straight to a single bed doona. We used ours sideways in the toddler bed (from cot). Hiccups, lilly and lolly and Red Plum all have nice stuff. Linen House, Spotlight and Pottery barn all have kids ranges. For the doona itself I suggest a washable wool doona. Whatever you get make sure it's washable. I also have a cheap doona from Kmart as a spare. Because at some stage there will be wee, poo or vomit during the night....See MoreHow can I make an ultra-feminine room more masculine?
Comments (34)I'd agree with adding darker colours to the mix... if reupholstering things is not in the budget just by adding chocolate, charcoal or navy blue to the chair and bedding will help. Add some rougher textures, chunky knits, pin stripes, vintage linen and right on trend velvet.... Adairs have a sale for another couple of days on their linen and other products https://www.adairs.com.au/search/?q=Vintage+washed+linen Accessories to consider are things made of dark marble, timbers, geometric shapes and gold... A bold feature wall could give some mood to the room again in the above colours....See MoreSpare bedroom bed cover and cushions
