Looks reasonable. We had our cast iron bath done by repainting. The coating still can be scratched down to the existing substrate. Its ok for a budget job. The high quality version of bath resurfacing is for it to be re-enamelled as per the existing baked finish rather than being repainted.

Hi. Wow, that is a very striking tile and will add such intrigue to your bathroom. Some questions: do you plan to run that tile right up the entire wall behind bath? Will your new bath be white? Will you replace shower screen, and if so, will it be clear or frosted? If budget allows, I'd be very tempted to run the colourful tiles all the way to ceiling, and run the other contrasting tiles along floor and wall to the ceiling. It is surprising how much of an impact that can make. The bathroom looks to be smallish, so maybe trying to use the colourful tile in shower as well may be too much, but can't really say without seeing the entire bathroom and knowing size. Is it possible to add more photos so we can get better perspective? I like the idea of pulling a colour out of tile to use in accessories. And I agree that a tiled-in bath may suit the room better than a free-standing, for the reasons offered.

Aluminium does under go oxidation, although it is white. Unlike iron oxidation which is orange. If the tile is designed for use in a wet area it is probably coated or anodised to prevent white oxidation. Check if cleaning will be a hassle (risk stripping the coating).
