The above idea is good, or you could get some cardboard boxes, cut them to the right dimensions, tape them together and lay them out where the furniture would go (I am better with three dimensions than 2 when it comes to figuring out what works! )

Agree with above comments - large rug, darker colours to balance the beige. And I also think the art work is too small and too high. However if you are attached to these pieces they could be hung together on one wall, lower, maybe re-framed in similar frames to give them cohesion (black to match your new cushions?). This would create the effect of a larger art piece. (The centre of your art should be at average eye height - and in that room you are sitting so eye height is lower!)

So which of the 3 bedrooms shown on the plan, is the room you want to make smaller? The third one on plan shows it has an ensuite. And yes, in my view, a room only 2m wide is way too small for a bedroom, even if for a child. May I ask who told you to downsize the room? If you are selling the house, perhaps it might be prudent to let potential buyers decide how to use the space or make changes rather than make alterations you may regret.

Hi MB, thanks for your comment. It's a good idea, unfortunately because there will be skylight in the bathroom I think it might bring too much light into the bedroom if not covered? thx
