I like the black ceaserstone with everything else white. I think avoiding a stripey effect is the key to being two tone and having the right midtone in the room to tie it together, grey can work well, or a warm neutral that will echo the tones of the natural wood of the floor. You can try painting the wall above the tile a darker colour to tie in the dark of the bench. There may not be much wall left above the splashback and around the overheads but it will still pull the space together. I like the idea of everything white except the bench top. Grey overheads will make the room seem smaller, definately white on top! Wooden blinds would look good with the floor too. If you want to go all white try and put some variation of texture or paint the wall a darker shade, even beige or cream or grey, grey/blue. It will break up the white feel. white on white works well IF you have variation in texture and really good quality finishes. Otherwise it can look soulless, boring and like a rental.

personally I know it is modern but I do not like the wooden addition to the bench. I would suggest you just carry the bench (black marble if you can afford it) so that it has a greater over hang and serves the same purpose as a breakfast bar. To me the wood currently looks an eyesore.

I really like the design put forward by oklouise, it really allows you to hind the ugly stuff pls all the countertop appliances like toasters. An alternative is to move the stove to the exterior wall where the current pantry is, this would reduce the space from the stove to the sink. move the fridge towards the exterior wall and add built in pantry either side of the fridge to frame the fridge. add uppers between the pantry and the exterior wall with an appliance garage below. alternatively, keep your current design, add uppers to the exterior pantry wall, and add an appliance garage below to hide the toaster and stuff. this is an excellent idea but inless you're especially tall, 50 cms may be a little high..measure all your appliances and you could find that most will fit in a shorter space and/or group the appliances and consider stepping the new cabinets .... every reduced cm will make the space more comfortable to use and allow the top to be used for servery or display....and i think you'll have better access with sliding or roll up doors that allow access to the full width of the space as the pocket doors need a blank wall to slide into...why not test your idea by placing some suitable sized cardboard boxes to simulate the height to see how it feels ...btw another appliance cabinet may be possible in other areas of the kitchen for the taller appliances eg enclosing the space between the counter and wall cabinets usually has about 45cm tall and 30 -60 cms deep...look forward to your progress
