I'd pick the cupboard white first. Pick what you love. Then get the wall colour tinted to match the cupboards. Nothing worse than mismatched whites. Either match them or go a contrast on the wall.

Hi Debbie Your new kitchen sounds lovely - a departure from average white!! A soft grey would be good, so long as it contained the blue tone you have chosen for the island. Would you consider a grey/green eucalyptus colour for the cabinets? Or a laminate that copies stainless steel? That would show as blue, to flatter the island colour. consider very dark walls like navy, dark grey, rich caramel or deep rust colours with eaves and fascias white, downpipes same as walls and gutters a mid range colour to match the dark walls (btw some new paints are supposed to have heat reflecting qualities even in the darker colours)

Amber, there are so many whites and much to take into consideration when deciding which colours suit you, your style and the rest of your home. For example, what is your kitchen wall colour and the colour of any adjacent walls? What material will be used for your cabinets? What floor coverings are in the kitchen and surrounding areas, and what are their colours? Do you want a laminate, engineered stone, marble or granite benchtop? Warm white or cool white? I believe once you have narrowed the field a bit, suggestions will follow.
