You can always go with textured glass or slump glass,it has a more rustic look and doesn't look so modern as plain glass, it's much easier to keep clean too as it doesn't streak and there is no grout...we have a very traditional kitchen and it looks amazing,this is my laundry and is actually quite a vibrant purple with dragonflies on it because,in the laundry,why not? The kitchen is more nuetral......

We went for a 70 cm induction stove top which works well - bit more space than 60 but doesn't eat up as much bench space. Our space was limited too, and we wanted to maximise both bench tops and storage. I'd go for an under cupboard range hood and us the above space for some more storage - besides it streamlines the look. I personally like a sink and a small one - using the small one for vegetable washing and smaller washing up works well for us. Our space (and the necessity for two corner cupboards) meant that we had to have a small dishwasher - Bosch 45cm wide (several brands make them). It works really well if you have space issues.

Hi, paint cabinets white, off white, deep navy blue, greige or moderately dark grey. two tone would also look ok - light/white on top, darker on bottom. Maybe choose paint based on other colours used in house. Please do not paint sage!!!! replace the cabinet handles with modern chrome T handles or similar. Replace curtain with white venetian. paint/cover brick. get rid of brick next to stove and replace with a panel. tile paint tiles white and extend to behind stove. or get creative and add a nice geometric feature tile that compliments the colours behine stove and exhaust fan. put down some cheap water proof wood look laminate click flooring. consider adding same geometric print to breakfast bar and add a couple of cute high stools from kmart or ebay. Change fan to chrome or spray paint silver. replace beam light with pendant light, maybe glass to be safe or something that is modern, meracrtor is good brand, or even just a modern round oyster type light. 1. Go for it, prep is essential make sure everything is clean and holes ect have been filled in. Don't forget to number your doors so you know where they belong when you go to put them back. Use an undercoat. Don't skip steps. 2. Easily done and look for some online they can work out cheaper i.e facebook marketplace. If you keep the handle holes in existing cupboards make sure new ones fit or fill the holes before painting. 3. Don't paint it, that looks cheap and your going to touch it. They say "ready to use in 48 hours" No, no its not and its always dependant on the temp of your room. Replace it, should cost under $1000 for diy. If you want a trade add another $700 - $1800. They measure and order and cut and replace. It will take them less than an hour. It will take you maybe all day unless your pretty good already. 4. If you get a new benchtop (highly recommend) just get a new sink and make sure it will be suited for your sink cabinet. If you decide to keep the bench, you will have to get a sink in similar size. Make sure the tap sits over the sink and it is possible to do all this yourself. 5. Get stick on tiles as they can just sit on top and they aren't that thick. 6. Same with this, use stick on tiles for now. This is all quick fix and budget ways to update, how long it lasts is dependant on your use, your maintenance and the materials you use . i.e don't use cheap paint and follow after care instructions for all materials.
