Do you need to keep the security grid on the fly screens? What are you doing to use the deck for? Does it have an all over slope or is it flat near the sliding door?
Security grid on flysceens can go. Not an issue to remove them. Don't personally dont use the deck much but I want it to be an inviting space when visitors & family come around. One step down from lounge to outside concrete, which is same level as timber deck. Concrete/deck is flat ie. no slope.
Paint the fence a dark colour, and if possible also the neighbours wall. Paint the concrete and deck the same colour. Install rectangle planters full of real greenery and colourful plants. The dark fence will make the plants stand out. There is no obvious view, I suppose if you go right to the corner there may be. But the photos do not show any easy seen view, so concentrate on the deck, not the view. White patio furniture and a cantilever umbrella would be very inviting.
If there are views in the corner, then install a bar height table and chairs, so people can sit and enjoy the views. Even attach a bar table to fence for people to stand at and look at the view.
Great suggestions, you could add an outdoor rug, comfortable all weather furniture, a built in barbecue and seating and fabulous planters for a beautiful look, and you will definitely use your area a lot more, another living, relaxing space.
