Hi Annie We get asked about the weight of freestanding baths all the time as people assume they will simply be too heavy to move around for cleaning purposes, which may be the case with a solid stone bath. To make cleaning manageable, our baths and spas are manufactured using Gelcoat composite construction which is extremely strong yet not overly heavy (5mm thickness to ensure structural rigidity and increased thermal properties). For anyone reading this in 2019, For bathrooms we recommend stone depending on who uses it. This is due to whether or not you're using the space for rent or your own home. We suggest not using natural stone if its a rental space unless its a luxury home, however with natural stone darker stones require more maintenance as they react with acid based material much faster than lighter coloured stones. Out of the natural stones we have used overtime, Granite is the requires the least amount of maintenance, however the colours are quiet limited.

It looks a straight forward typical base list. Have you done a lighting and electrical plan. Adding extra power points and two way switches and lights add up. Do you want network cabling to desks? Sensor lights external Etc. these are all typical extras that add to your cost. The more you can pick items including tiles and carpet and bathroom fittings etc before you sign a contract the better handle on your budget you will have.
