Trims, ceiling and walls all in Dulux Natural White or Snowy Mountain 1/4. Leave the beam as is. You’ll need to paint samples (or you can order them in A4 size from Dulux) to see whit white tone suits the room. It’s impossible to pick colours off the screen.

I guess I'm worried it will look to plain and not inviting enough if it's just white?

Plain is good for resale. The colour scheme your husband prefers is dated. And the colour scheme you prefer may not work with the carpet and the buyer’s furniture colours. The wooden skirting board is quite narrow and really is too basic to have a contrasting colour on it. Although if you wanted to save on labour you could leave it as is, as it works with the beam.

Plain is good. I would also use Dulux snowy mountain. If you want to add some interest, then add an artwork on the wall, and some indoor plants. Remove the sports print/photo. Add a decent sized artwork that is fresh and bright.

Cripps will def be coming with us! we have the Dulux paint brochure with those colours but I was a bit against it. thanks guys! might need to re-think. I'm a big fan of colour but yeah its not for everyone. plain is much better for re-sale. looks clean and fresh

I thought it was Cripps. Jack is my favourite (Silvagni). At the moment with all the dark furniture it does look like a male dominated space. Lighten it up with snowy mountain, then the space will be appealing to all.
