Agnes, kicker concealed drawers are generally fitted into 150mm minimum kickers with a push catch release runner, which you kick with your toe. Runners are 25mm high, and the kicker drawer would be a solid base coinstruction, so factor in a 16mm base, 10mm top and bottom clearance combined, the 25mm runner, and you would end up with a 49mm high internal drawer box in a 100mm kicker, and almost 100mm in the 150. These drawers are really only useable for oven trays etc, although as they are used often, this is a impractical storage system to utilize daily. These drawers are factored in when limited storage can be included into joinery, and the cost for installation is quite high. The time to install onsite is costly, and level and even floors are a must for them to work. As for your floor, definately floor first so if joinery is ever modified the floor is consistent and no infills are needed. It is also beneficial for leveling, and sealing the floor surface entirely. Go with this option.

There is now a sliding scale of reasonable expectation on consumer items which means manufacturers will rely on their tech specs more than ever. Check what minimum clearance your fridge officially needs on the sides and above the machine for ventilation before doing anything. Get your lighting working for you. Choose a 'warm white' lamp - not daylight or cool white. Cool whites kill off the warmer hues and makes things appear cold. Change, add or move your lighting to have two small gimbled ceiling lights wash down the face of the joinery instead of one bright light focussed on the fridge. Lighting can make a poor space look great or a great space look poor.

Hi Northstar Lovely table you have chosen Remember there needs to be at least 1m for chairs to be moved out from the table Also food placed in the centre has to be reachable!! so don't go too wide If you think the table is out of proportion, a rug underneath can give the illusion you want enjoy - will you have the table for Christmas?

Hey Nik. Our current garage is 6.5mx6.5m and its great I can fit on each side some peg board and cabiners and at the back of garage, can store some bikes. But its tight - and we also dont have the space for a shed at the back. I currently store power tools, whipper/snipper/mower in the garage. Having approx 8x8m would be a huge upgrade for current things I store, and allow me to put battery storage in future and have a good workbench and workspace area. I did think about a shed at the back - will be much cheaper. But I would have to provision for a concrete slab, adequate power and would have to insulate it if it was to be my man-cave! I wonder how much adding 1.5m to the garage would cost compared to putting a quality shed in with utilities etc!?
