I’m stuck finishing my sunken fire pit.

I’m stuck Finishing off my Firepit. I’m not sure where to put the stairs and also the flat bin on the side I’m not sure how to finish that off or the edges. The blue stone under the flat bench part it is not there permanently and can be moved and the sleepers behind aren’t permanent either please help me!

I’m think you’ll may be stuck starting. Have you been working to any plans or inspiration pictures? If not you need to head to Pintrest and save some. You need to know what you’re trying to achieve. What shape are you trying to accomplish? Will all the seating be stone? What will be the base? Is the little fire holder shown the final one you wish to use? How many would you like to seat? Etc.

Agree with bigreader, research fire pits for inspiration , different types of finishes, seating, steps, landscaping for your project, just a few inspiration ideas

I'm a big fan of the artificial hedges too, they seem to be popping up everywhere lately. Agree with the suggestion to add a deck, but I'd only increase the width of the garden beds if you have plenty of space as you don't want to make it feel too small.

haha!!!! Siri - you can have your Eiffel tower angel... give me the beach any day :) Nic - perhaps some driftwood, shells and a jar of sand might help bring the beach to you - just don't knock your sand flying or you'll literally be able to crank up your fireplace and lie down on your sand to sunbake lol.

Cloudpants awesome inspiration photos gave me an idea .... I'm just wondering if the lounge rotated to be length ways behind your dining chairs (facing towards the laundry/fire) with a large rug down and then perhaps a couple of recliners opposite (in front of the laundry door) with a coffee table in between might help define the space a bit better - but it might be a little small to accommodate that idea? Also thought perhaps a barn style slider door on the laundry might help to hide it and add a bit of a feature on that wall?

Hi dreamer, thanks for the suggestion. Im wondering though, how do I treat the junction between the vanity and the fixed panel of the shower screen? The diagram I uploaded above leaves out the shower head, so there will in fact be a shower-over-bath in the above scenario, with a fixed panel adjacent the bath. If I have the vanity hard up against the bath, I'll need to tile the side of the vanity, no?

Or these. One is a random stone sunken circle with steps. Similar to what you have started. The other a gradient on landscaping toward fire pit, therefore no steps required. The flat land around the stone can be planted or lawn added.

Thank you….. I think! No real plan obviously and I probably started from the middle just not sure what finishes I can use etc. Thanks for the pics wish me luck
