Because your porch is smaller I was wondering if you could remove the brick wall and have a step or two similar to wuff's going right around the porch. Talk about great minds here, I notice wuff has a blue pot similar to what I was thinking for your porch (you could maybe have a pair) to pick up the blue in your roof. Wuff I can see where the thinner poles have changed the original character, but sometimes moving on is not a bad thing, I think they could have dominated too much. I'm liking the way your furniture now gets a look in. What time is coffee??

A few people have asked for the colours I used on my house. I used the Resene colour range. *Weather boards - Ash *Battens - Triple Ash *Trims, window frames and vertical rails on stairs and deck- Alabaster *Top Hand rails and accents (pretty much anything that was red) - Half Nocturnal *Stair treads - Alabaster in centre, Ash on sides *Stringers on stairs - Ash Hope this helps :)

only way to know the price for your house is arrange a quote for the steel and also obtain a quote for repairing and/or replacing old tiles with new...Replacing our old leaking tiled roof with a brand new watertight super insulated steel roof (as soon as we confirmed our new floor plan) was our most important improvement because it allowed all the other work to be done without fear of future damage.. we also took the opportunity to consolidate old extensions by changing the roof shape, removed the old tiles, added new gutters, downpipes, fascias and some new eaves, added modern sarking and insulation, vacuumed out 50 years of dust and mouse poo, removed wasps nest, permanently evicted the possums, repaired all the electrical wiring and ventilation ducts, relocated the manhole access and then added Colorbond steel roofing and plan to never have to do any roofing again

I recently completed my owner built house and shed. My shed has shale grey roof and walls and is very cool all year round in The Atherton Tablelands near Cairns. My neighbor used monument and has a very hot shed. My house has a shale grey roof and the walls are cement block painted with shale grey(Taubmans). The garage door and is surfmist which looks white. The window and door frames are white. I love the look and what ceiling space I have does not get overly hot. The shale grey roof appears lighter than the walls because of the reflected light. This gives a nice contrast. Another neighbor has a surmist roof which can be too glarey to look at. Bear in mind that monument being dark will also show more noticeable fading than shale grey.
