Fixed shower screens, does too much water spash out or not?
Comments (14)Or if budget allows, why not have both an overhead shower rose from the ceiling and a wall mounted handheld shower head. Hubby prefers overhead shower (and I think most guys do as they don't really care if their hair gets wet) but I don't wash my hair everyday and wanted a wall mounted handheld one, so as we couldn't agree we settled for both with a diverter mixer tap. P.S. the ceiling shower rose we got can be slightly tilted and I think most of them do so you can have it at a bit of an angle. P.P.S. if you can't get both then I would go with a wall mounted handheld shower head as it will be much easier to clean the shower area, can't imagine the practicality of cleaning with an overhead... good luck! :)...See MoreA big empty gap, & white cabinets, or charcoal cabinets?
Comments (7)Hi Barry, I personally don't think the large blank space lends itself to a piece of art. It's up too high and contrary to your thoughts, it wouldn't be the feature you'd hope for it to be. Besides, the money you spend on a piece large enough, would be better spent on a smaller, higher quality piece mounted at the correct height (eye-level) that would compliment another part of your home. Getting back to the blank space, have you considered using a timber veneer for the wall cabinets? Something that would work with your bench, and then you could use the same veneer as wall panels to continue above the blank space over the cupboards. Perhaps you could even incorporate led strip lighting to give it a little more wow factor. Timber is great because it adds a layer of warmth to the polished concrete and dark cabinets. Good luck, and keep us posted! Would love to see which way you go. Cheers, and have a great weekend. Steve...See MoreRemoval of Air Conditioner Unit and how to fill gap
Comments (1)the inside wall can be patched quite easily with a timber frame, plasterboard and paint ...the external brickwork could be patched with a close matched brick (and try to ignore the difference as even an original brick looks slightly different when patched in later) but, if the difference is too obvious try painting the odd bricks (not the mortar) in a paint to closely match the original colour and dabbing the paint to mimic the variation is the original bricks...but. i wonder if any of the other townhouses has faced a similar dilemma and discovered a secret solution?)..any experienced handyman should be able to manage all the skills required but you'll need a qualified electrician to move the power point into a more convenient position...See MoreGap under Corner Free Standing Bath
Comments (2)Sorry no help here.....Have you used the bath yet? I would be concerned that if the bath is not level on the tiles, that, when full of water, and people, the bath will move off the wall on side and the back. The bathroom looks Interesting, but that small gap between wall and bath, is very troublesome. If you put a shelf there, it will become even harder to clean....See MoreBec Obrien
