What a beautiful room, table is great, I love transparent furniture also it could work well with your room, I can imagine it with your table but a more luxe look could be stainless to blend with benchtops or leather or be brave and mix it up for a more contemporary look, depends on the style you are after, fab room

Julie I love that tan lounge. The only reason I’m thinking of changing my sofa is because we are thinking of putting a mirror tv where the mirror is and starting to use it as a nice family room. The current sofa isn’t that comfortable. So a new sofa is on the cards! Now you know I want to start with a blank canvas do you think I should introduce the tan leather or get a fabric grey sofa instead? And does the sofa colour affect the final colour of dining chairs?? I think your proposed approach of ringing antique shops is a good idea. Unfortunately even quality antiques fetch very little these days. There just isn’t the market for them. I have a couple of pieces that were costly and are now a fraction of what I paid for them. I didn’t expect them to depreciate that much. Hopefully you’ll do better.
