You will need to find table long ways along the 8m wall and keep it to a narrowish table
Avoid a chunky lounge and also run same way dividing the space approx 2.4 for dining and 3.2 for lounge

Where are the doorways and windows located in the space?

Entry to the space is on the left with a vaulted ceiling above. The space to the right has 2.3m ceilings with a lantern over the centre. we had planned on a pantry in the room as shown. the windows/french doors are at the back of the house, however the doors will be central, rather than on the left as shown. Unfor Unfortunately we can’t move the ’pillar’ that is sticking out into the room.

2.3 metre ceiling is low. Is that measurement correct? If yes, then I would have no wall cabinets in that area, which hopefully will heighten the ceiling visually. Have a feature splash back with floating shelves.

If you can’t move the pillar, then maybe incorporate the kitchen benches along that wall.

Hopefully this gives a better idea. Thanks for the options so far, we're currently trying to work out what dimensions of kitchen / island etc make the space usable - any help here would be appreciated too. Thanks.

dining chairs and island stools need to be compact enough to be tucked under and an extensions table with the extra chairs stored away when not needed allows for comfortable walkways and there's space for a big fridge freezer, stacked wall oven and MW, double sink and DW with or without windows near the sink, i've included storage for glasses, wine or coffee and dinnerware etc next to the TV and there's space for bookshelves and/or study nook or set down space near the entry door
