hi my husband is a builder and I know about tiles a lot . there is nothing for wet area tiles . all tiles are floor and wall tiles. yea you could use rough surface tiles in wet area but it's depends on your style but you don't need to choose only rough surface . in wet area you must have to do waterproofing before laying your tiles . you can all choose from cremaic tiles to porcelain tiles. you just need to measure wall hight and width then tiles shop guys they we will work out how many sqm you need or give them your floor plan they can work it out.

God is in the details, and if they haven't been resolved and documented so that everybody on the job knows what is happening then you can end up with this type of messy situation. In an ideal world, all walls and shower niches would be perfectly square and plumb. And the client would have decided on the tile size so that the niche could be designed and built to avoid cutting tiles around the perimeter. And all tiles no matter how cheap they are would be perfectly flat with no bowing or twisting. And all tilers would know how to tile and take pride in their work and redo it at their cost if it wasn't perfect. Unfortunately, we don't live in an ideal world and there are sometimes elements that are beyond the control of your tiler. But yes it does look crappy, and it would make me unhappy. you'll need to prepare the surfaces first and then you should be able to coat the bare surfaces with a damp proofing product and then the floor tile paint over the top but first contact the customer services from the tile paint manufacturer and ask their advice about preparation and undercoat for the bare surfaces (keep in mind that tiles usually have concrete and/or grout between them so the tile paint should also work on the surfaces you want to conceal

Hi Mimi, Your stone (probably Marble or Reconstituted stone as these can be damaged by acids) has been factory finished by diamond polishing to get the gloss level it has. A sealer will only help protect that factory finish and unfortunately it will not bring it back. The bad news is it is not possible to repair and so removal and replacement is the only real fix. This may be covered if you have Accidental House Insurance, but other than this, I am afraid there is no easy fix, sorry. Hope this helps though, Malcolm.
