I have designed a home to suit all requirements, two storey with creative added features that make the home more sustainable, as requested. The house ticks all boxes of the main home and air bnb space. I have added a rooftop vegetable garden above the 2nd floor, which is maintained by the properties grey water system, and clay internal walls for the amazing benefits of clay. I’ve also been inspired by something a little different in this design. Something not yet done in Australia, something not very well known… yet!It is called Conceptos Plasticos. Founder Oscar Andrés Méndez, an architect in Santa Marta, Columba has transformed plastic and rubber waste into an alternative constructive system. The plastic waste is recycled, melted and injected into a mold to produce plastic building blocks that work as Lego pieces, with additives that make them resistant to fire.
