In addition to the custom deck, we chose to install vinyl (PVC) railing posts and baluster with low-profile, powder-coated aluminum pickets. Not only is this a long-lasting and stylish choice for a railing configuration, but the dark, low-profile pickets will also allow these Westerville homeowners a better view from their deck into their backyard. The white balustrade is a great designer complement to the home’s existing trim. Gravel was used to finish the area underneath the deck and will make a great space for storing outdoor items, such as lawn equipment.
Archadeck of Austin
Archadeck of Austin designed a large, new deck that is partially covered with a porch cover for shade and partially open to the big Texas sky. Building it required complete removal of the home’s existing multi-level deck.
For the decking boards, the clients chose AZEK low-maintenance decking in the mahogany color. We designed the deck in a picture frame pattern with a ribbon board. The beautiful deck railing system features hammered bronze balusters by Fortress and the rail cap is by AZEK. The AZEK rail cap is actually installed over a steel railing.

We designed the deck using radius steps to double as additional seating in the space, along with a custom built-in bench seat.

In addition to a redecking and deck addition, we constructed a beautiful and low-maintenance Mt. Hope vinyl pergola with a tan finish. Pergolas are ideal for families, who wish for a covered area without adding roof construction. They not only offer partial sun protection but are lovely architectural focal points in any outdoor space. The pergola’s color is also very complementary to the home’s exterior finishes, as well as the new deck. The tan finish offers more of an understated aesthetic than a stark white pergola might. It is a beautiful architectural feature, without overwhelming the space!

This garden takes advantage of the chimney tops and attics spaces of the urban landscape of the Back Bay- we refer to it as "Mary-Poppinsville". Split in to two areas- seating and dinning/cooking. shrubs, perennials, annuals, and edibles including: herbs, tomatoes, The client is a gourmet chef and uses the foods in his cooking. With limited space, the most popular edible plants that clients ask for are tomatoes and herbs because the herbs can be used in daily cooking and theres nothing to compare to the homegrown tomato. Where space is generous, we also plant blueberries strawberries, raspberries, lettuces, peppers.

Land & Water Design
We added a beautiful naturalistic pool, landscaping, travertine paving, outdoor shower, custom porch and deck. Low maintenance landscaping, and planted bamboo in a secure 60 mil EPDM containment trench to give the clients privacy. One of our other challenges was to solve the storm water runoff, which we handled with and underground drain system.
The outdoor raised firepit is a nice addition for for sitting around those cool nights. To complete our project was the outdoor lighting design which highlights all of the awesome focal points.
